Paul Raymond Irish

Standish ~ Paul Raymond Irish, 88, peacefully passed on to eternal life March 31, 2026 surrounded by his family. He was born on June 30, 1937, the oldest child of Gerald & Viola Irish of Gorham, Maine.

Paul was a veteran of the US NAVY. After his service, he worked in insurance and drove tractor trailer. He enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing, and being part of the CB Club. After his retirement he drove school bus and worked in real estate. He would make new friends every where he went. He was the life of the party and would always have a funny joke to share.

Paul lovingly was reunited with his wife, Barbara Ann (Walker) in heaven, his oldest son, Paul Jonathan, and his grandson, James Jr.  He is survived by his daughter Cynthia and her husband Kevin Shaw, his son James and his wife Tina, and his daughter Samantha. He was loved dearly by his grandchildren who called him “Bumpa”, many nieces and nephews and his siblings, extended family, and his friends!

In honor of Paul; enjoy the outdoors, take a child fishing, make people laugh, or donate to your favorite cause. 

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 27, 2026 at the White Rock Community Clubhouse from 11-2pm. 34 Wilson Road Gorham, Maine.
